FURNITURE DESIGN
When we started to plan out the building, we realised that we needed to take our material system into the furniture design as well to create a continuity in the design.
We took a our base fractal/mesh unit, the standard triangle and folded it to create a stackable chair, then reduced it to create a class room style seat. We also used a folded triangle for the desk, folding the end back under the desk to add a book storage shelf
The breakout unit is a flexible unit that can be added together in different combinations to create seating for various sized group interaction and to break up the open learning hubs.
