Givenchy Fall 2009 RTW

In the garment pictured above, Riccardo Tisci incorporates elements such as folding, stretching, details, drape and shape to accentuate the human figure. These are neither uncommon nor groundbreaking fashion elements, however I am interested in pursuing how a designer discovers, understands and works with different fabrics and hardware to realize his designs and vision; thereafter taking this knowledge and translating it into architecture somehow.
