Fabric Investigation
We set out to investigate fabric's potential in withstanding gravity in a monocoque system. The idea comes learning how napkins in dining tables when are subjected to multiple folding and pulling produces a monocoque structural system.
What we found is when the fabric is subjected a 'forced' double curves, it produces both tension and compression properties at the same time. We tessellate this 'forced double curves' across a fabric.
